Wise Words of Warning

Usually we blog about issues that relate to business but this week we’re mentioning personal security because one of our members recently had a horrible experience at the hands of some rather determined car thieves.

Martin Hood, our independent financial advisor, was at home in the evening carrying out a little bit of DIY on his front door. For just a brief moment he went into the kitchen to get something and returned to find a car thief had come into his hall, taken his car keys and was now driving off in his new car. Martin advises everyone to make sure that you never leave your front door open and unattended, even for a few seconds. “What frightens me most is that this person was clearly determined to take my car, regardless of who was around. With three young children at home it’s just not worth the risk – cars are just a piece of metal at the end of the day but the security of your family is paramount.”
