We are all delighted to see that our career consultant Robin Rose has been approached by local TV station Channel M to appear as the business ‘expert’ for their Thursday evening programme. His first appearance this month was to discuss how people often use redundancy as an opportunity to launch their own company rather than seek employment again. You can catch Robin every Thursday at 6.30pm discussing business with presenter Andy Crane.

At SMBA we know that our members have survived difficult times in business by working smarter rather than harder. A fantastic example is the latest venture by Tanya Simister of solicitors Haworth Holt Bell who told our members this week that the long-standing law firm has branched out into a new market – quite literally! From this month they will be holding an outreach session at Northwich market on Tuesdays, Fridays and Satadays from 9am until 4pm where members of the public can drop in for some free legal advice.

Well done to the Sales and Marketing cluster of members for an excellent presentation at last week’s meeting – it was really interesting to discover how so many members can work together to create new business introductions for each other. We look forward to the next ‘cluster’ presentation next month!
